Assembler

Job Description
Assemble foundation products for the Henderson facility in a safe and efficient manner, to satisfy the customer demand for a quality product. Participate in PIT Teams, striving for continuous improvement through waste elimination, and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Production:
Become an active member of the production team, contributing ideas and support through the PIT Crew process, supporting harmonious work relationships, and efficient work habits.
Assemble, test, and pack foundation brake components at specified rates.
Assist in troubleshooting process problems.
Ensure that the production facility is clean and orderly.
Inspect and rework parts as required.
Assist in the changeover of the equipment for various products.
Observe all company policies and procedures.
Quality:
Monitor consistency of the product and the process to protect our customer.
Follow established work procedures.
Perform necessary quality checks (first piece part, SPC, masters, etc.)
Complete all quality required documentation (SPC Charts, safe launch tally, superforms, etc.)
Actively participate in Quality training, containments or support work.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively support the identification and elimination of waste with the objective of achieving a process that flows the product at the pull rate of the customer.
Submit continuous improvement suggestions.
Safety:
Observe all safety regulations including use of personal protection equipment (safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, etc.).
Report all unsafe conditions or events to Group Leader, Area Manager, or EHS representative in a timely manner.
Compliance to all Continental and Henderson plant permits, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, environmental, health, safety, security, ISO 14001 and Environmental Management systems, TS 16949 and Quality Management Systems, Human Resources policies, and Continental Business System elements.
Other:
Participate in "steering" Committees or other special assignments on a voluntary basis
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum bronze level CRC (Career Readiness Certificate) required
Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Assessment
Basic Math computation skills
Ability to read, understand, and apply operator instructions and complete necessary Production documentation or reports
Team building, positive interpersonal skills and effective communication skills are needed.
Must be able to perform in and adapt to a mass production environment and flexible to various work assignments or changes a needed to fit the needs of the business
Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules
Internal or External Vocational Experience:
Previous industrial manufacturing experience (12 years) recommended, but not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
