Marketing Manager, Local (7945-632)

Overview: The Marketing Manager, Local is a critical role that functions as the right hand to the Marketing Director, Local and directly manages the Community Marketing Field Team. This position leads all aspects of the community marketing program including efforts in media development and activation, charitable planning, event sponsorships and grassroots efforts, and project and program management for media and advertising creative. The Marketing Manager supports activation programs from beginning to end, with an emphasis on the New Store Openings and Core store re-launches. This position works cross-functionally with internal teams as well with external agencies. This role requires independent thinking, negotiation skills, budget oversight, incredible prioritization and time management intelligence as well extensive travel and flexibility in work schedule. This position will be based in the home office, located in Asheville, NC.
Project Management and Budget Oversight
Provide ongoing support to the Marketing Director across all New Store Openings and Re-Launch market plans.
Execute omni-channel marketing programs to drive awareness and traffic within New and Core Markets.
Collaborate with internal and external partners including store team members, advertising and public relations agencies and strategic community contacts to execute go-to-market plans.
Effectively communicate scope, investment, deliverables and timelines to the Marketing Director across all new projects and marketing plans.
Partner with Finance to ensure timely submission of invoices, accruals and balance of budget each period.
Provide comprehensive project updates at key milestones.
Help facilitate growth of email, loyalty, text, and social media databases.
Conduct market visits, drive awareness, and manage timelines with all NSOs.
Provide onsite New Store Opening support as required.
Write briefs, collect content, oversee creative development and secure approvals for all new programming.
Community Team Leadership & Management
Manage team of Community Relations Coordinators. Mentor, train and develop team members marketing, interpersonal communication and negotiation skill sets.
Promote a workplace of education; foster the sharing and training on industry trends and data.
Community Engagement & Charitable Giving Management
Partner with Marketing Director to develop long-term vision and growth for charitable giving across all stores and markets.
Develop and support programming for continuous engagement through existing Community Advisory Board with ongoing communication and content.
Identify, review and recommend key strategic events for Earth Fare to pursue as a named sponsor.
Develop and manage monthly donation budget. Work with Community Relations Coordinators to maintain, forecast and adjust as necessary.
Be the Earth Fare expert. Consistently communicate our purpose, Food Philosophy and Boot List; have an appetite for continuous learning regarding new product and program launches.
Provide onsite event support as required.

Required Experience
Bachelor's degree.
Concentration in business, communications, or marketing (preferred).
Minimum of 5+ years marketing, communication or public relations experience.
Event experience highly recommended.
Experience in the grocery industry (preferred).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
