Quality Engineer (APQP)

Job Description
Ensure that engineering changes/new programs and process changes are successfully planned, launched, trialed and PSW approved by the customer prior to production shipment.
Fully document all PPAP records for specified customers to establish a clear historical record of events suitable for legal purposes and IATF (this includes obtaining all customer approval documents such as IAAs, CNs, Alerts, SREAs, IPPAARs, IMDS records and approval and maintenance/uploads of all customer databases as required)
Coordinate customer and plant quality assurance activities related to customer milestone deliverables, PPAP submission and approval, customer APQP documentation, customer specific forms, etc
Coordinate and lead launch activities and preparation for implementation of changes/launches (product and process) internally as well as with the customer, i.e. identification of parts, preparation and audit of documentation (i.e. control plans), verification of qualification, capability data, communication with other departments etc.
Prepare, coordinate and document annual verification and layouts
Establish a PPAP Archive & Cross References to allow for timely retrieval with minimum information.
Maintain internal tracking documents such as OEM/OES trackers, PPAP logs, Alert/IAA tracking etc.
Engage in customer visits as required.
Strong organizational skills, flexibility, leadership ability, communication skills
Project Planning experience (APQP)
PC literate (multiple online databases/software for customers and in plant are required)
Drawing/Blueprint reading
Basic knowledge of Statistics (capability, MSA)
AIAG/VDA/PSW/PPAP/Control Plan/PFMEA knowledge helpful
SAP knowledge helpful
Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree with relevant experience potential

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
