Maintenance Technician

Overview
Maintain production and support equipment to achieve planned production and quality specifications. Responsibility includes electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components.
Core Responsibilities
Plan, install, maintain, rebuild, and repair a wide variety of machinery requiring the use of ordinary and specialized tools and devices.
Perform maintenance and repairs on electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
Assume a responsible role in the output and quality of equipment.
Maintain equipment function, perform preventative maintenance, and support production set ups.
Train production technical and support personnel as required.
Actively participate in cost reduction, continuous improvement, and team activities
Compliance to all Continental and Henderson plant permits, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, environmental, health, safety, security, ISO 14001 and Environmental Management systems, TS 16949 and Quality Management Systems, Human Resources policies, and Continental Business System elements.
Complete work orders and maintain documentation.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Perform associated duties as required
Additional activities:
May be required to use ladders, and lift trucks.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR Associate's Degree in technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of general experience in this field OR 5
years of specific experience to this position in similar industrial maintenance or construction trade in lieu of a degree.
Basic knowledge of PLC programming and Robotics.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Robotics and/or CNC machining equipment a plus.
Ability to understand and follow mechanical and electrical schematics or drawings or written directions or programs.
Readily use root cause analysis and problem solving skills to diagnose most mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical system failures.
Basic understanding of program logic and complex integrated systems.
Repair equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner.
Good general industrial safety guidelines (Fire evacuation, accident reporting, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, hot work permits, waste disposal, confined space work)
Use of, and ability to be certified on, forklift and material handling equipment, lifts and booms.
Must display the ability to self manage time and project assignments.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to train others.
Have basic understanding of CNC machining or Advanced Assembly concepts.

Physical:
Moderate Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, crawling, bending, and/or squatting/stooping or working in tight places or above shoulder height.
Mental:
