Position Overview:
Western Carolina Surgery Center is seeking a Materials Manager to join our dynamic team.
As a Materials Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facility by managing the procurement, distribution, and inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the efficient and cost-effective delivery of care at our ambulatory surgery center.
Key
Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
Coordinate the procurement and distribution of medical supplies and equipment while ensuring the availability of necessary items for surgical procedures.
Inventory Control:
Implement and maintain inventory control processes to reduce waste and excess inventory, thereby optimizing costs while maintaining a sufficient stock of essential items.
Vendor Relationships:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms and pricing for the center.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to medical supplies and equipment, including tracking expiration dates and maintaining proper documentation.
Budget Management:
Collaborate with leadership to develop and manage the materials budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Experience in materials management, supply chain, or healthcare procurement required.
Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and standards.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
