9K a year 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago Oversee and develop meal plan development and budgeting food expenses for program Coordinate programming efforts with leadership team and Clinical Supervisor The Dietician will advise and counsel clients on food and nutrition provide nutrition education to clients and family members, as needed assess the dietary and health needs of clients, gauge the effects of meal plans, promote nutrition through public speaking and community outreach programs.
Keep abreast of the latest research in nutritional and food sciences.
Chart Documentation, Consultations with therapists, doctors and nurses.
Completes nutrition assessments of clients referred by following the person-served philosophy.
Provides two hours of direct daily contact to persons served including, but not limited to, cooking experiential, food prep, and nutrition education groups in partial hospital, and participates in one intensive outpatient session per week.
Involved in grocery shopping and ordering food from outside sources.
Documents the distribution of nutritional material to clients as appropriate.
Attend team meetings to provide clinical feedback to clinicians.
Other duties as deemed necessary.

Experience:
Registered Dietician/ Licensed Dietician Job-related Behavioral Characteristics:
Strong clinical skills in mental health/substance abuse/eating disorder treatment.
A working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, and CARF regulations.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information, working well in an individual/ group problem solving situation, and showing initiative in problem solving.
Maintains professionalism and does not show favoritism.
Maintains consistency with clients, staff, visitors, and the public.
Sound clinical judgment and excellent clinical skills.
